A real cicada, encased forever in copper as part of the copper electroforming process.
This one is adorned with a flashy faceted labradorite star above, and an opal and labradorite on his body. Copper formed slightly thicker on one wing, so he hangs a little to one side, but is balanced with the star dangles below.
Dimensions: coming soon
Pendant is ___" wingtip to wingtip and ___" top to bottom.
Total necklace length (chain + span of the necklace) is ___".
Insect Source:
When possible I use found, naturally deceased insects and taxidermy/dry them myself. However the larger insects I purchase from an overseas insect farm where they are grown for food, and are not wild harvested. This method is sustainable and areas used for the insect farms are kept forested and not clear cut. The farms also provide jobs for the local community.
