The overarching theme of the 2019 Halloween Collection is 'Alchemy & Divination'

This piece is part of the Three Fates 'Moirae' Collection

'Lakhesis' - a carved labradorite skull, copper electroformed with an adornment of quartz crown, with accents of peach moonstone, labradorite, and opals.

Dimensions:
Pendant: 1.25 x 1.5" tall
Chain: 18" with peach moonstone beaded chain accent

The Moirae were the three goddesses of fate who personified the inescapable destiny of man. They assigned to every person his or her fate or share in the scheme of things. As goddesses of fate they must necessarily have known the future, which at times they revealed, and were therefore prophetic deities.  As man's fate terminated at his death, the goddesses of fate were also the goddesses of death.

They were Klotho, "the Spinner," who spun the thread of life, Lakhesis, "the Apportioner of Lots", who measured it, and Atropos, "She who cannot be turned," who cut it short.
