Rutile:
Rutile is the most common form of titanium dioxide (TiO2) found in nature. It typically occurs as red, silver, gold, or black needle-like inclusions in quartz. These inclusions range from sparse needles to star-like sprays, and even dense, opaque masses within the quartz. The optical phenomenon of asterism in some minerals, such as rose quartz, can be attributed to the presence of small rutile needles.
